Changes resulting from the UK leaving the EU

The Bad News

Shapeways is once again shipping prints to the UK without VAT paid, so a VAT collection fee is again being charged by the carrier. Unfortunately they have also increased their postage charges, so if time is not of the essence for your order, then please ask before ordering to see if we can batch your order to reduce this fee.

If you are ordering from outside the UK, then please email, as we can sometimes provide a link for you to order direct from Shapeways at a better price, and we would then send any additional parts separately from the UK.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this might cause.

The Better News

In response we have now purchased our own printer capable of producing similarly high quality printed bodyshells and will be working to replace Shapeways with our own as soon as possible, however this will take some time as each body & variant will have to be individually re-engineered to work on the new printer. These will be added to our website as each is ready, and will be cheaper than Shapeways as well as avoiding the Carrier Fee.
